Areas with insufficient water sources and high temperature and drought hazards should be especially strengthened to manage water during critical periods to compensate for the lack of precipitation. The irrigation time should be selected before 11:00 am and after 5:00 pm to prevent tree and fruit burns. Liu Zhande reminded the fruit farmers that they should not be watered or sprayed during high temperature to avoid phytotoxicity.

It is an effective measure to enhance the drought resistance and water-saving cultivation of the tree during the high temperature and drought period. Orchard paving grass can not only reduce water evaporation, keep the soil moist, loose, stable temperature, protect the normal growth of roots, but also prevent soil compaction and weeds, reduce the number of cultivating, and effectively improve the microclimate of the garden.

Pruning and thinning adult trees are more drought-tolerant than young trees, so the management of young trees should be extraordinarily elaborated.
