Newborn yak feeds colostrum four points

First, a sufficient amount of colostrum should be fed within one hour after the calf's birth to ensure that the calf has enough antibody protein.

Second, the optimum temperature for calves is 15°C. Attention should be paid to the heat preservation, ventilation, and illumination of the yaks, so as to provide yaks with good housing conditions and to gradually cultivate calves' adaptability to the external environment.

Third, the temperature of colostrum fed to calves should be controlled at 36°C or more. In order to ensure that the milk temperature can be heated with a hot water bath, direct heating can easily cause the milk to solidify.

IV. When feeding colostrum with milk, it should be guided manually. No matter what kind of tools you use to feed milk, it must not be forcibly poured. Give patience to frail calves when feeding them. Feed them a few more times to ensure that calves have enough colostrum.
