Why to promote the development of modern agriculture

From December 10th to December 12th, Liu Guanglei, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, the leader of the Municipal Party Committee's Rural Work Leading Group, and the Secretary of the Municipal Committee of Agriculture and Work of the Municipal Party Committee, went to the northeastern Fujian Province to conduct research on the development of special-effect agriculture and poverty alleviation. Liu Guanglei demanded that all localities must thoroughly implement the spirit of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, regard development as the top priority, change the traditional agricultural development methods, strive to promote the development of modern agriculture with the core of characteristic and effective agriculture, and help people in poverty-stricken areas to emerge from poverty as soon as possible.

During the investigation period, Liu Guanglei went to Wushan, Fengjie, Kaixian and Liangping, and went deep into orchards, farms, agricultural demonstration parks, concentrated resettlement sites, and poverty-stricken farmer households. He also worked with local leading enterprises, planting and breeding base owners, technicians, and farmers. Have a friendly conversation, learn more about the development of the industry, and study the problems in the development process. On behalf of the municipal party committee and the municipal government, he also sent gifts of relief to poor households and encouraged everyone to work together to work hard to achieve a well-off society.

Liu Guanglei stated that the 18th National Congress proposed the grand goal of “building a well-off society in an all-round way”. All localities must conscientiously study and understand the spirit of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, implement it in practice, promote the transformation of agricultural structure, and realize the transformation from traditional agriculture to modern agriculture. The transformation will help poverty-stricken areas get rid of poverty as soon as possible and contribute to the building of a well-off society in the city.

Liu Guanglei pointed out that there are several key points that need to be grasped in the process of promoting the transformation of agricultural structure, realizing agricultural modernization, and “lifting the two mountains”. First, any industry development should be practical and realistic, and it must be guided by market demand. Second, efforts should be made to grasp the cultivation and development of leading agricultural enterprises, and to follow the development path of scale and intensification. Third, we must always focus on increasing farmers' income.

Liu Guanglei emphasized that all localities must provide guidance and services for enterprises and the masses in the path of agricultural modernization and poverty alleviation. In expanding the market, the government must work hard to create a relaxed environment. Through effective promotion mechanisms, it can help enterprises plan and promote sales, and guide them to become bigger and stronger brands. In the development of leading enterprises, it is necessary to think what companies need and how they need it. Seriously help enterprises to solve practical difficulties, eliminate the worries of enterprises, and issue corresponding incentive policies to attract more urban capital to the countryside; in terms of increasing peasants' income, it is necessary to highlight the main battlefield of “two mountains” to help the poor, to respect the will of the people, and to integrate various resources. The masses seek benefits and establish a stable interest-linked mechanism between the company and the masses, ensuring that the income of the poor people grows steadily and rapidly.
