Cistanche contains trace alkaloids and crystalline neutrals. Fascinatum contains alkaloids. Its roots contain cistanche, chlorate, 8-Epiloganic acid, 6-deoxysterol, Mussaenosidic acid, geniponine, Leonuridine, 8-epoxymalonic acid, Gluroside, Bartsioside, Enone ether, Liriodendrin, (+)-Celose factor-Q-β-D glucoside, Lignans, Cistanoside A, B, C, D, E F, Acteoside, Echinacoside, 2'-Acetyl-aceoside Ormanthuride B. Also contains mannitol, sitosterol, succinic acid, sitosterol-β-D-glucoside.

The fleshy stem contains cistanoside A, B, C, H, acteoside, 2-acetylacteoside, and echinacoside seven phenylethanol hydrazine components. Also contains lirio-dendrin, 8-epiloganic acid, daucos-terol, betaine, beta-sitosterol , mannitol [1], N,N-dimethylglycinemethyl ester [2] and phenylalanine, valine, light Leucine, isoleucine, lysine, serine, etc. Fifteen amino acids [3] and succinic acid, TCMLIBiacontanol , Polysaccharides [4].

Cistanche fat-soluble components are 6-Methyl indole, 3-Methyl-3-ethyl-hexane, 4,6-dimethyl (4,6-Dimethyl dodeca- ne), 2-Methyl-5-propyl nona-ne, 3,6-dimethylundecane (3,6 -Dimethyl undecane), Heptadecane, Nonadecane, Eicosane, Henicosane, etc.

Water-soluble components N,N-Dimethyl glycine and Betaine, β-Sitosterol, Daucosterol, thirties were obtained from Cistanche deserticola Triacontanol, Acteoside, 8-Epiloganic acid, mannitol, stearic acid, 2-nonhcoketone (2- Nonacosanone, Bis-2-ethylhexyl-phthalate.
