How to measure the thickness of plastic film in the laboratory:

1 Select the presser foot according to the sample type. For samples with uneven surface structure, the diameter of the presser foot should be less than the length of the pattern cycle. If necessary, the thickness of the concave and convex part can be measured and reported by the smaller presser foot.

2 Clean the presser foot and reference plate to check the movement flexibility of the presser foot. Set the pressure, then push the presser foot onto the reference plate and set the thickness gauge to zero.

3 Lift the presser foot and place the specimen on the reference plate without tension or deformation.

4 Place the presser foot on the sample and keep a constant pressure, and read the thickness indication value after the specified time.

5 Repeat 3 to 4 procedures until the specified number of parts or each sample is measured.

6 If you need to measure the thickness under different pressures (such as geotextiles), you can repeat 2~5 procedures for each pressure. You can also repeat 2~4 procedures for each measurement site or each sample from low pressure. , measure the thickness of each pressure at the same point, then replace the test site or sample, repeat the operation of the previous carbon until the specified number of parts or each sample is measured.
