Fruit traits:
(1) The seeds of B. edodes are flat and round with a slightly raised back surface. The flag is relatively flat with a diameter of -5mm and a thickness of 1-1.5mm. The surface is reddish-brown, brownish-black or green-brown, and shiny. It can be seen in the enlarged lens, scattered in the pits, with a slightly light-colored umbilicus at the base of the depression, a dimple at the top, and a vertical ridge in the ventral surface. Testa hard, endosperm white, yellow cotyledons, hypertrophy, are rich in oil. Gas slightly, slightly astringent taste.
(2) Accumulation of seeds dark brown or dark purple, diameter 3.2-4.5mm.
(3) The hair follicle seeds are black, black purple or brown, nearly round, 4-5.5 mm in diameter, with ribs in the middle of the ventral surface, sometimes with papillary projections on the back. In Guangdong, Guangxi and other places, there is even a drug inflorescence axis. All are full and shiny.
