Among oral diseases, the incidence of rickets and pulp diseases is high, and it is one of the most common diseases in humans. The main reason is the "death" of teeth caused by dental pulp inflammation or pulp necrosis caused by rickets. For more than 200 years, root canal therapy has been used in the clinical treatment of endodontic diseases. It is the dental doctor's manual operation, which completely removes the dental pulp cells in the pulp and root canals of the teeth and fills them with biological materials. Since there is no nutrient supply, although the teeth are retained after filling, they gradually become brittle and discolored, and at the same time they lose their feeling, especially when they bite hard objects. The realization of pulp regeneration has always been a world problem.
The research team led by Professor Jin Yan established a cell aggregate technology based on stem cell self-assembly by simulating the principle of tooth development, and successfully realized the functional regeneration of whole pulp tissue by using the deciduous deciduous stem cells, and carried out the first international full-length pulp regeneration. Clinical research has been successful. The specific method is to obtain dental pulp stem cells from the patient's deciduous deciduous teeth. After one month of in vitro culture, the formed stem cell polymer is implanted into the pulp cavity required by the patient, so that the nerve regeneration of the teeth is completed, and the original function of the teeth is completely restored. . At present, the technology has been clinically treated in nearly 50 patients, all of which have been successful. The results were published in the journal Science Translational Medicine in the United States, which attracted widespread attention from international peers.
