Impatiens prevent three major diseases

Brown spot, powdery mildew and anthracnose are the main diseases of Impatiens balsamina. Impeller growers must pay attention to the prevention and control of these three diseases.

First, brown spot

1. Identify features. Major damage to Impatiens leaves. Symptoms of diseased leaves are nearly round or irregular in shape. It was brown at the beginning, pale brown at the back, dark brown at the edges, and pale black moldy on both sides of the leaves.

2. The characteristics of the disease. Fungal diseases. The wintering of the diseased leaves with germs. The following year the germs spread by wind and rain, causing many illnesses. Summer high temperature and rain conducive to disease.

3. Control points. 1 At the onset of disease, spray 50% carbendazim WP 700-900 times, or 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder 600 times, or 70% thiophanate-methyl WP 800-1000 times. , spray once every 10-15 days. 2 In the autumn, timely removal of diseased leaves and removal of diseased leaves and fallen leaves in potted soil or on the ground, concentrated burning or deep burial, and reducing the source of infection. 3 The potted plants should be replaced with new soil every year; the cultivation and management should be strengthened, and the calcium and phosphorus fertilizers should be properly applied to enhance the resistance of the plants; emphasis should be placed on pruning to make the plants airy and transparent.

Second, powdery mildew

1. Identify features. It mainly occurs on leaves and shoots. In the early stage of disease, white mildew spots appeared on the leaves, and then the leaves were covered with white powder, and then dark brown dots were formed in the white powder layer. The victim leaves yellow, and the whole plant died when it was severe.

2. The characteristics of the disease. Fungal diseases. The pathogens overwinter on the sick or seeds. In the next year, when the environment is suitable, the pathogens spread by wind and rain, causing many diseases.

3. Control points. 1 In planting management, pay attention to ventilation and light transmission, strengthen fertilizer and water management, and enhance plant resistance to disease. 2 At the beginning of the disease, spray 15% Triadimefon WP 800-1000 times, or 70% thiophanate-methyl WP 1200-1500 times, or 20% Triadimefon Emulsion 1300 times. 3 timely destroy the diseased leaves to reduce the source of infection.

Third, anthrax

1. Identify features. It mainly occurs on branches and leaves. At the early stage of disease, the leaves appeared yellow or brown spots, and gradually developed into round or near-circular lesions. The center of the lesion is light brown with brown edges, and there are less obvious ring patterns, on which small black spots are scattered. With the development of the disease, adjacent lesions connect to form irregular large lesions, causing the leaves to shrink and wither, resulting in shedding.

2. The characteristics of the disease. Fungal diseases. The pathogenic bacteria wintered on the sick body. In the early summer of the year, it was spread by wind and rain. In general, the lower part of the plant has severe disease. In the hot and rainy season, the incidence is the heaviest.

3. Control points. 1 Strengthen the management of fertilizer and water, enhance the disease resistance of plants, and reduce the incidence of the disease. 2 When anthracnose occurs in potted impatiens, the diseased leaves, diseased branches or smeared medical dacronine ointment can be removed. Both are effective. 3 At the beginning of the disease, use 50% dexamethasone 500 to 600 times, or 25% carbon tetrachloride wettable powder 500 times, or 50% benomyl WP 1000 times, or 50% anthraquinone. Wet powder 500 times, or 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder 600 times liquid control. 4 At the end of autumn, Impatiens diseased leaves and diseased plants were either destroyed or buried deeply.
