-- Recently, a research paper published in the International Journal of Clinical Oncology, scientists from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and other institutions revealed the relationship between low levels of vitamin D and malignant prostate cancer, the researchers found that the male body Decreased levels of vitamin D in the blood may help predict the development of malignant prostate cancer in an individual. The study has greatly helped to improve men's health.

Researcher Adam Murphy said vitamin D deficiency may be used as a biomarker to predict malignant prostate cancer, dark skin, lower vitamin D intake, or less sun-bathing male individuals diagnosed with prostate cancer or PSA levels At higher levels, vitamin D deficiency should be tested, and vitamin D deficiency may be improved by supplementation. Previous studies have revealed a link between vitamin D levels and malignant prostate cancer. The researchers in this study have revealed a more direct relationship between the two, which may help explain the differences in body between patients with different prostate cancers. In particular, African-American individuals; researchers have previously found that African-American men living in low-light areas are 1.5 times more likely to develop vitamin D deficiency than Caucasians.

Researcher Murphy said that all men should be supplemented with vitamin D to normal levels. Malignant breast cancer is usually defined by whether the cancer spreads from the prostate and the higher Gleason score. A lower Gleason score means cancer. Tissues are very similar to normal tissues but not easily spread, while higher scores indicate that this cancer tissue is different from normal prostate cancer tissue and is more prone to spread.

This study was part of a previous large study in which researchers recruited 1,760 Chicago male individuals to measure vitamin D levels and prostate cancer in individuals; this study included 190 men with an average age of 64 years. Individuals underwent radical prostatectomy between 2009 and 2014.

When we work in the office every day or in the long winter, our body's vitamin D is difficult to maintain normal levels, so the researchers suggest that individuals should consume 600 units of vitamin D per day, but researchers recommend that Chicago residents should consume 1000 per day. Up to 2000 units of vitamin D.
