Abstract: The amount of filling gas in rubber airbags is an important factor in determining whether it can exert its intended use effect. In addition to the airbag sealing property, the rubber's barrier property to gas directly affects the ability of the airbag to store gas. In this paper , the air permeability of a brand of rubber water-blocking airbag is tested by VAC-V2 differential pressure gas permeation instrument, and the rubber airbag gas is transmitted through the introduction of the test principle, equipment parameters, application range and test procedure. Performance is a reference.

1 , meaning
The rubber airbag is an inflatable product, which has the characteristics of soft shape, deformability, foldability, easy removal after use, convenient use, etc. Common rubber airbags can be used for water blocking construction, leakage detection, ship noise reduction, shock absorption, construction and other fields. The balloon is stretched and expanded by filling the compressed gas to achieve the cross-sectional design requirements. Taking the rubber water blocking airbag as an example, the airbag is mainly used for water blocking operation of the water pipe, and the rubber airbag is filled with a certain pressure of air, so that the airbag fills the entire pipeline, and the friction between the airbag wall and the pipeline is blocked. The water flow, in order to enable the airbag to effectively contact the pipe wall, requires a certain amount of gas to be always maintained in the airbag, that is, has a good sealing property and a high barrier property. In particular, rubber bladders that have been used for a long period of time should have a higher barrier to filling gas to prevent the use of a large amount of gas in the airbag during use. Therefore, it is especially necessary to strengthen the rubber airbag to test the filling gas barrier performance.

2 , test samples
A rubber water blocking airbag produced by a company is used as a test sample.
3 , testing basis
In this test, the air permeability of the sample was tested by the principle of differential pressure method. The test procedure refers to GB/T 7755-2003 " Determination of gas permeability of vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber ".
4 , test equipment
In this paper, the VAC-V2 differential pressure gas permeation instrument is used to test the air barrier performance of the sample. The equipment is independently developed and produced by Jinan Languang Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd.

4.1 Test principle
The clamped sample separates the upper and lower test chambers of the device. The upper chamber is filled with a test gas of a certain pressure, and the lower chamber is vacuumed. Thus, a certain pressure difference is formed on both sides of the sample, and the pressure of the test gas is generated. Under the action of the difference, the upper chamber penetrates the sample into the lower chamber, and the gas permeability of the sample can be obtained by testing the change of the pressure in the lower chamber.
4.2 Equipment parameters
The test range of the equipment is 0.05 ~ 50000 cm 3 /(m 2 ·24h·0.1MPa) , the vacuum resolution can reach 0.1 Pa ; the temperature control range is 5 °C ~ 95 °C , the temperature control accuracy is ±0.1 °C ; the humidity control range It is 0%RH , 2%RH ~ 98.5%RH , 100%RH , and the humidity control accuracy is ±1%RH , which can meet the testing requirements under different test conditions. There are three completely independent test chambers, which can test three identical at the same time. Or different samples; can be fitted with data at any temperature to easily obtain test results under extreme test conditions; after modification, the device can also support toxic (separator) gas, flammable and explosive gas test; The standard membrane is quickly calibrated to ensure the accuracy and versatility of the test data; the Lystem TM laboratory data sharing system is supported , and the test results and test reports are managed in a unified manner .
4.3 Scope of application
(1) This equipment is specially used for the test of gas permeability, permeability coefficient, solubility coefficient and diffusion coefficient of various sheets and film samples at various temperatures. Sheet materials include sheet materials such as PP , PVC sheet and PVDC sheet. The film type includes various plastic film, paper-plastic composite film, co-extruded film, aluminized film, aluminum foil, aluminum foil composite film and the like.
(2) This equipment can also be extended to aerospace materials, paper and paperboard, paint film, fiberglass cloth, glass fiber paper, cosmetic hose sheets, various rubber sheets and other materials for gas permeability testing.

5 , the test process
(1) Sample preparation
Three specimens with a diameter of 97 mm were cut from the surface of the rubber bladder sample to be tested using a special sampler .
(2) Loading
Apply a layer of vacuum grease around the test area of ​​each test chamber, place 65 mm diameter filter paper in the test area, then cover the sample, remove the air bubbles between the sample and the test chamber, and clamp with the clamp. tight.

(3) Parameters
Set parameter information such as sample name, test temperature, test humidity, and sample thickness.
(4) Test
Click the test option, the test starts, the device automatically records the change of the lower chamber pressure, and after the test is finished, the test result is displayed according to the test condition.
6 , test results
The average air permeability of the three samples of the rubber water-blocking airbag sample tested in this test was 35.7462 cm 3 /(m 2 ·24h·0.1MPa) .
7 , conclusion
The barrier properties of rubber airbags are important factors in determining whether the internal filling gas can be stored for a long time, and have an important impact on the performance of the airbag. In this paper, the air permeability of a rubber water-blocking airbag sample is tested. The whole test operation process is simple. Three test specimens are tested in one test.
