In summer, the climate is hot and humid, and the focus of the breeding and management of ducks is to prevent the heatstroke from cooling. In order to obtain high yields in summer, ducks need to grasp the following technical measures:
1. Summer cooling. Pay attention to shade and keep good ventilation inside. When it's hot in the middle of the day, use cold water to spray the tiles or cover the grass on the top of the duck shed to cool down. Conditional ceiling fans can also be installed. Sweep the sheds once a day and change the bedding to ensure adequate clean drinking water. Adding vitamin C to drinking water or adding baking soda to feed can relieve heat stress and prevent egg production from falling.
2. bleak ducks. Ducks can be released between 4am and 5am to allow them to move on the duck beach. When ducklings are used, the duck sheds need to be opened, because some ducks have to return to the shed to produce eggs. After producing good eggs, they must go out to cool off. The ducks should be allowed to enter and leave freely. From 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the morning, the sun is gradually becoming intense. Ducks should be kept in the duck shed. The ducks should be released from 5 pm to 6 pm until they return to the duck shed at 10 pm.
3. Reasonable water supply. Ducks drink well water to quench their thirst and cool down. Drinking water can not be broken, such as the use of water to water basin, there must be a bamboo cover to prevent ducks into the bath and stained drinking water. Electrodialysis should be added to drinking water, and using a certain amount of antibiotics before climate change can effectively prevent stress.
4. Improve feed nutrition. Increase the protein content and calcium content of the feed and increase the amount of green feed. Because of the hot days, the feed intake of ducks is reduced, and the crude protein content in feeds should be increased (2% higher than in spring) to ensure that the total intake of duck protein does not decrease. Live animal feeds such as fly maggots and cockroaches can stimulate the appetite of ducks and increase the production of eggs, which should be provided in a balanced manner. Practice has proved that: Every day, a duck needs 200 grams of fresh grass every day. With wax gourd, loofah, watermelon rind feeding ducks, but also play the role of cool heat.
5. Add night food. At high temperatures during the day, the intake of ducks and ducks decreased. The ducks should eat 150 grams to 175 grams of feed for the day and night, and 175 grams to 200 grams for white ducks and yellow ducks. If this standard is not met, ducks will easily fall out. Because of insufficient feed intake, insufficient calcium and phosphorus, they may produce soft-shelled eggs, thin-shelled eggs, and even egg production rates will decline rapidly. Adding a material at 10:00 to 11:00 in the evening can make up for the lack of feeding during the day, and it can also be used to supplement the physical energy consumed after the laying of eggs.
