The reporter learned from the Jiangsu Provincial Price Bureau today that in the first quarter of this year, the consumer price in our province rose an average of 1.7% year-on-year, and the monthly increase was lower than the same period of last year.

Lu Bo, director of the Provincial Price Bureau's price monitoring center, said that in the first quarter, the supply of main and auxiliary foods in our province was sufficient, and the prices were rising, falling, and basically stable. The prices of bulk industrial products continued to fall, and iron ore prices fell more deeply. The price of industrial production materials fell mainly, and chemical product prices generally fell.

In addition, the wholesale price of Jiangsu Lingjiatang agricultural and sideline products increased by an average of 3.2% year-on-year. The wholesale price of vegetables rose by 7.1%, and the wholesale price of aquatic products decreased by 0.6%. Lu Bo introduced that, from the perspective of the recent market dynamics in the province, hog prices rebounded. From late March, hog prices have risen for five consecutive weeks. Although spring tea is in a large number of listed periods, the price has steadily declined.
