Recently, the Qianying Agricultural Technology Extension Regional Comprehensive Station in Fengnan District of Tangshan City investigated the overwintering pods of tomatoes in the Qianying region. It was found that the incidence of tomato bacterial wilt in greenhouses in some rural households in Dagong village was severe. The leaves of the diseased plants became pale and wilted. The disease began to wilt during the day and recovered in the early evening. After the disease became worse, the whole plant died. Slightly squeezed the disease stem, with white bacteria pus overflow. Prevention of the disease should start from the following aspects:
1. Rotation. Tomatoes and non-solanum crops onions, garlic, melons, cruciferous vegetables, etc. can be implemented for more than 4-5 years rotation.
2. Reduce humidity. Choose well-drained disease-free plots for nursery and planting. Areas with low-lying or high groundwater levels are planted with sorghum, timely cultivating and weeding, and reducing the humidity in the field.
3. Formulated fertilization. On fertilization, pay attention to the application of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers, apply sufficient basal fertilizer, apply topdressing frequently, apply organic fertilizer and trace fertilizer, and appropriately apply nitrogen and potassium fertilizers.
4. Timely cultivator. In the early stages of tomato growth, the cultivator can be deeper and shallower. After the vigorous growth of tomato, stop the cultivator and avoid trampling on the surface to prevent root damage.
5. Clear the source of the disease. If a diseased plant is found in the field, it should be immediately removed by burning, cleaning the pastoral area, and applying lime powder or plant ash to the extracted area, or inject 2% formalin or 20% lime water into the diseased area.
6. Chemical control. In the early stages of the onset of tomato bacterial wilt, 50% bifenbide WP 800-1000, 72% streptomycin sulphate soluble powder 4000 times or neophytin 4000 times were used to irrigate the roots, 0.3-0.3 per plant. 0.5 liters, 8-10 days irrigation, irrigation for 2-3 times, better control effect.
